I've installed SQL Server Express on 3 clean brand new Dell laptops.
Each of them is working fine, but getting the error 0x6dd3
error when attempting to upgrade to sp2.

I've seen a few other usenet posts on this but no one seems to have an
answer!
Any updated thoughts on the matter appreciated.

Try searching for context for this hex code (without the hex prefix)
and also for its equivalent decimal value: 28115
