I am seeing the same error during the same KB install. Have you found
any solutions?

Hi,

I had a similar problem with this update on a computer at work. Looking
at the log file, all the sc.exe commands were successful, but it ended
up with an error after that (I think it was "SceConfigreSystem failed"
as you got, but I'm not 100% sure). I tried a /lot/ of things to make
this update install, but no way it would do it successfully. All other
security updates installed fine though.

To solve the problem, I ended up with installing SP2 for WinXP on the
computer (KB914798 does not apply to WinXP SP2 computers).
