0x80072F78 Error, again

Hello,
I have tried most the fixes including all the updates for xp and explorer.
I have even renamed the software distribution folder with the same results.
I have yet to overcome the 0x80072F78 Error.
I am running Symantec products including their firewall, however;
I have turned all things off that I felt would interfere with still no luck.
I am at a lost at this point as to why my update is not working.

I'm having the same error - tried all patches. I'm not running any Symantec
products. My Windows security alert is always on and it cannot change my
automatic settings either.

This is getting pretty silly.
