I've got five updates that won't load on my Win XP Pro laptop. I tried to
enclose with Windows update log, but I got an error from the server saying
the posting was too big. Here are the last few lines:

I tried manually loading one of the hot fixes (841873). I was able to save
the hot fix to the hard disk, but when I double-click on it, it says "you
don't have permission to update Windows XP. Please contact your system
administrator." I have tried this from two different administrator
accounts, with no luck. I can rename files in c:\windows\system32. What
could be going wrong?

Thanks,

Dave Cattapan
