0x8007f004 - windows update

We have a network of 30 PCs

We have installed Windows XP (with SP2) on 20 of them up to now...

All of them, except 2, have allowed us to run Windows update with 100%
success.

The other 2 just don't want to know.

On trying to install:
Update for Windows XP KB898461 and
Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1

I am receiving notification that the installation was not successful, etc.
and being given error code 0x8007F004

I have tried logging onto the machine as a local administrator and as a
domain admin to no avail.

Any help would be more than greatly appreciated

this error code means that you don't have permissions to update, so see
