0x8007F01f error

When I try to install any MS updates, I get this error. It seems that I
can't un-install any updates neither. In each installation log, I see the
error
"AddProtectedRenamesFlag failed:STR_ADD_REGISTRY_FAILED".

Hello Julian,

As you may guess, the error 0x8007F01f means "Failed to add registry entry." You may try to alleviate the complications by temporarily disabling your antivirus program, and restarting your Windows, then try update again.
