0x8007FOF1 error in installing update Cumulative Security Update I

Windows update downloaded this update Cumulative Security for IE 7.0 for XP,
but when tries installing, it fails over and over again with this error code.
Help!!

There is a very good chance are that you are seeing the affects of a
hijackware infection!

1. See if you can download/run the MSRT manually:

2. Run this online scan (in safe mode w/networking, if need be):

3. Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting the requested
logs in an appropriate forum, not here.
