0X80080299 error

When the microsoft website tries to automatically validate my windows xp
version I get that message. Windows XP came factory installed but the hard
drive had to be changed and which I recieved from the manufacturer along with
a new restore disc to loads windows xp on the new hard drive. Please help.

Download the latest IE7 Beta 1. It was released on 10/18. mine worked finally
with that version of the beta.

where did you download the latest IE7 beta 1. I can not get it through my
msdn account. is it possible you can post or email me the url.

well i downloaded it before and now my copy will not verify windows and i can
not download the file again. if anyone can obtain the new beta 1 file i would
greatly appreciate if they could send me the link or file. thanks again
