0x80096001 error!!!

I have a problem update window xp Pro. Windows update site returns a error
right after checking for new updates. 0x80096001. Cannot find this error on
microsoft support site. I have already deleted iuengine.dll and iuctl.dll and
have them reinstalled by microsoft website but i am still having this error.
Does anyone have a clue what is could be?
