0x800A0007 error#-does it exisit?

I had already downloaded XPSP2 and after 2 weeks of my
comp acting up I uninstalled it. Thank you microsoft. I
had to get a new HD.A link on the web from TechTalk says
to download SP2 for better performance from it. I tried,
Can't install Windows update(amongst other MIA files and
folders) have Error#0x800A0007, to bad it doesn't exisit
according to: Windows Update has encountered an error and
cannot display the requested page. You may find the
following resources helpful in resolving the problem:
For self-help options: They asked me to check my
spelling; they should check their error number files.
Anyone else with this situation?

i am getting the same exact error and cannot seem to get around it either.

Sorry, I did not receive the same error. Mistakenly thought I did. However,
I am receiving error # 0x8DDD0007. Anyone else received it?

Hi

For error 0x8DDD0007 you can try this:

Start/Run --> regedit.exe

If the RebootRequired key exists in registry, delete the key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\RebootRequired
