I had the same problem, not having the impersonate thing, etc...
What you need to do is boot up into Safe Mode and log on as the
Administrator account that appears (not your normal logon). When you have
booted up, click on start and go to RUN, type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2.
A properties box will appear where you should see all your logon's and the
groups that they belong to, make sure that your normal logon is part of the
Administrators group. Restart the PC in normal mode and try your updates
again.
