0x8020000E Error Number when I install 2003 Server Sp1

I get this message also, while trying to activate Microsoft Win updates. I
have cloned my system to a new hard drive (larger) but can't install part 1
of the new download stuff. Can anyone help, please?

Me too. I use Automatic Update, and when it tells me to download SP2 I get
the same 0x8020000E Error Number. I sent email to Microsoft. They promised 1
business day answer (no cost to download update issues) but I haven't got any
answer yet...

Try a search?

The answers from here in the web interface that you are using
have been aged out because nobody bothered marking them as useful;
so you have to use Google Groups to find them.

To anyone confronting this error number:

I think this error number refers to a problem with the installation
(installation, not download) of any update (eg. installations was interrupted
by a system boot). For me, the problem was solved by manually downloading and
installing the update package. So in your update history, first find the
failed update. With this info you can trace the update and download and
install it.
