0x80244010 Problem - Error Ocurred

Me too, and more many people are having this problem. Please Microsoft, help
us the solve this. Updatings are very import to keep Windows working
correctly. Post a solution for this problem.

I had the same problem and I found (for me) a solution:
deactivate any cookie-blocker, if you have one installed.
I did that (CookiePal) then the windows update worked
percect. Please try this or tell me, if this did not help

I had the same problem!

I resolved it unblocking SP2 XP block. The unblockertool you will find on
the page:

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=33519
unzip and you will find "unblockXPSP2.exe".

Do this proceeding only, if you have blocked SP2 XP-Installation with
"XPSP2Blocker.exe" from
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=33518

After an updateprocedure you will have the intelligent updatetool and you
can block with "XPSP2Blocker.exe" again. after taht I had a normal function
of the Updatepage from Windows!

FINALLY!

It worked, the first link was the solution, thank you verrrry much..

(i do have a prescott P4 procesor, which many people have who encounter this
problem).
