0x80244010 still remaining...

I've been looking trough all your threads and saw, that some of you wrote,
that the 0x80244010 error did not occur anymore while trying to get a list of
updates...

I only want to know if you completely re-installed your system or if you
deleted some of the fixes you installed in order to solve the
0x80244010-problem, because in my case this error is still occurring when
getting a list of available updates!

I am experiencing this problem on Windows XP German,
Portuguese (Brazilian) and Spanish. The error code is
the same.

I have not experienced this problem on Windows XP
Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Korean or English. All
copies are activated but not registered. I am using P4
processors in IBM x306 servers.

All are at XP SP1a and I do not want to install
SP2 at this stage, just to run Windows Update. Please
tell me how to fix this without performing a reinstall !

I'm getting this message also. Had sp2, but had to reinstall xp home. Have
sp1 now, but can't get updates. This is bad.
