Why can't you guys at Microsoft ever get it right the first time. The old
update site worked just fine. Now I see hundreds of posts with so many
errors it is mindboggling. I am not happy at the way you keep changing
things to make it easier for you, yet harder for me. I am worried about the
new virus and need to do my updates now. Tell me what 0x80244016 means and
how to fix it without spending a whole day. Tell me how to fix this and
don't even think about charging money for me to be inconvienienced by what
appears to be an inferior product. This is getting old and I am tired of
wasting time working out solutions you should have already. Please respond
ASAP so I can avoid the virus your poor planning has allowed to infiltrate
the cyber community once again.

Disgruntled,
Bill Krayer

0x80244016 - SUS_E_PT_HTTP_STATUS_BAD_REQUEST
Http status 400 - invalid syntax

Suggestion 1 - drop the attitude.

Sugestion 2 -

1. Click on Start/Run
2. Type "cmd" (w/o quotes)in the open box to get to a DOS prompt
3. Type "proxycfg -d" (w/o quotes) at the C prompt and hit enter
4. Type "net stop wuauserv" (w/o quotes) at the C prompt and hit enter
5. Type "net start wuauserv" (w/o quotes) at the C prompt and hit enter
6. Now try the site again.

For what I pay Microsoft.... I can have all the attitude I want. Your team
has continued to produce flawed products for going on 20 years. My time is
worth the 35 bucks an hour you say you may want from me. So... I suggest you
drop the attitude.... I am the customer, and MS errors have dimenished MS
value. You all best remember that. someday you will no longer be a
monopoly... and then lets see who has the attitude.

Thank-you for your prompt reply!

I don't work for Microsoft - my time here is voluntary.
