I cannot get any updates to isntall through the Auto Update site behind our
ISA 2000 Server. it is out policy not to allow any traffic to the internet
except through the proxy server.

The user logged into these Win2k boxes is and Administrator user, logged
into the domain, and is not prompted for credentials when accessing the
internet using the proxy server. However, the AutoUpdate tool does not seem
to support working through a proxy server with authentication required. IMO,
it should, as IE currently does, use the currently logged in users
credentials. Why dosen't it?

Quite honestly, this is extremely frustrating. Is there a workaround for
this, besides changing our company security policy to allow this autoupdate
tool to work properly?
