0x8024402C and Proxy Server 2.0

I am also getting this nasty error when trying to run
Windowsupdate on my XP machines. All of the post have
contained a lot of info relating to ISA server. We're
still running Proxy Server 2.0, and none of the
suggestions have helped us thus far. Just curious if
anyone has come up with a solution with Proxy Server 2.0.

The workaround for error 0x8024402C is given in the following knowledge
base article. Please check for knowledge base article and follow the
instructions given.

You may receive an error message when you search for available updates on
the Windows Update Web site

Hi

If possible, add the following urls to the exception list
within your proxy:

http://*.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
https://*.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
http://download.windowsupdate.com

As far as I know Proxy Server 2.0 doesn't have anywhere to add URL
exceptions. You can add specific IP addresses, but not URLs. If I'm wrong
on this, can you point me where to go to do this?
