Tried everything, microsoft could not help either despite a dozen fixes they
suggested, it comes down to their new update software. Then went to Linksys
router and disabled ActiveX filter in setup and update worked, did of a pain
turning the activex filter on and off in setup but I can at least get the
updates friends have uninstalled it and win updates works with the old
software.
