0x8DDD0018 ERROR RESOLVED

Automatic Updates service MUST BE SET TO AUTOMATIC.

When it was set in manaul but running, I got this error.
After changing to Automatic, Windows Update works !!!!

Thanks to whoever posted this 'fix' for such a stupid problem. Why
couldn't the so called help that follows "Were sorry, Windows Upadte
failed blah, blah, blah ..." have mentioned this little
idiosyncrasy???

And if people read the related help in the MSKB then they would
realise he error code 0x8DDD0018 is bugger all to do with BITS !!!

And it does have somewhat to do with BITS, since if BITS is Disabled the
user will also have problems getting WU data.
