My desk top pc(windows xp pro) was infected by a malware virus "Vundo"
which prevented automatic updates (error 0x9dedd018)from Microsoft.
Luckily by I was able to get rid of it by using
Superantispware(superantispware.com).
I read all the thread about this error and one of contributer suggest using
this software.
Now everytime I booth up the system, I get an "error loading
c:\windows\system32\rxsinevf.dll" I just ignore it as my pc runs ok. This
dll was quarantine by the above software and it can be restored. I am worried
if I restore it the virus might come back. I would appreciate hearing from
anyone out there
what is the function of this do. If it is safe to restore I will do it so I
can have a clean boot up with no error message showing every time.
Thank you.

Hello Linda,

Did you do the cleaning by yourself? or did you get assisted at an anti-malware forum?

keep this file in quarantine.

If assisted at a forum, go back there and update them on your issue.

Otherwise:
Download the latest version of HijackThis Installer
at http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en...HJTInstall.exe

Save the HJT Installer to your desktop or the folder of your choice, then navigate to that folder and double-click HJTInstall.exe to start the installation.

When the Trend Micro HJT install box appears, click Install.

HijackThis (HJT) will be installed in the C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis folder by default and a desktop shortcut will be created.

It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. See one of the following forums

Hi Maurice N,
I did the cleaning myself by using Superantispyware software. It is the
only software that restored my automatic updates from Microsoft. I use
Ad-ware and Spy-bot search & destroy. It did not removed the malware causing
failure . I read all the threads in the forum how to deal with this virus.
One suggestion was to use the Superantispyware software. So I tried it and it
worked.

This malware problem started with so called "Vista Antivirus 2008 " that
got installed NOT BY CHOICE in my desktop PC. My spouse unknowingly was led
by a error message and he let it get stalled. We were so upset at this
software company for tricking us to installed. This software u cannot be
removed unless you first purchase them. So I use Spy-Bot search & destroy,
that get rid of Vista Antivirus 2008". But it did not get rid of some
malware left behind. Superantispyware finally clean up the remaining malware.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will go through it.
