Hi Maurice N,
I did the cleaning myself by using Superantispyware software. It is the
only software that restored my automatic updates from Microsoft. I use
Ad-ware and Spy-bot search & destroy. It did not removed the malware causing
failure . I read all the threads in the forum how to deal with this virus.
One suggestion was to use the Superantispyware software. So I tried it and it
worked.
This malware problem started with so called "Vista Antivirus 2008 " that
got installed NOT BY CHOICE in my desktop PC. My spouse unknowingly was led
by a error message and he let it get stalled. We were so upset at this
software company for tricking us to installed. This software u cannot be
removed unless you first purchase them. So I use Spy-Bot search & destroy,
that get rid of Vista Antivirus 2008". But it did not get rid of some
malware left behind. Superantispyware finally clean up the remaining malware.
Thank you for your suggestion. I will go through it.
