"1 Pending Request" won't go away

Why does Live Messenger keep telling me I have 1 pending request on top of
the main window, but when I click on it, the page keeps timing out? I never
see who the request is from, and I've been carrying this notice for a week.
I tried getting rid of it on 2 separate computers.

What's a guy gotta do to fix this?

I have this on my of my systems but not the other and it doesn't show up
when I logon to any other pc either. I contacted support regarding this
issue and received absolutely no help. It got to the point where they just
said they were going to forward it to the issue on to the product team since
they couldn't fix it and maybe it would get fixed in a future release...Not
holding my breath.

Did re-installing the program after uninstalling it fix it on the computer
that had the issue?

Greetings Reese,

Instead of clicking on the link, try going here instead:
http://spaces.live.com/pendingrequests.aspx

Log in using your Messenger Passport/Windows Live ID and see what comes up.

I ran through all kinds of troubleshooting steps to no avail including the
removal and re-installation of messenger. No luck.

That does the same thing the link in Messenger does : it times out after a
very long wait.

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

:-(

Hi,

Can you get to normal spaces at least -- http://spaces.msn.com?

If so, I'm guessing there's a server-side problem with your account.

Hi Reese,

Submitting a ticket -- it won't be instant, but it should get forwarded to someone to fix.

Here's the form to get started:
