100% vista compatible sound card?

a 100% vista compatible sound card? is there such a thing?

what i want, is something that doesn't hiss/skip/click, has a fully working
mic & line in port, surround sound, bass/treble/equalizer etc.

i have an audigy SE on Vista Ultimate, drivers are crap, i think we all know
the score on this here.

are the latest X-FI cards fully vista compliant?

all i want is a reasonably priced (circa £50 or less) sound card that
doesn't have issues with Vista.

have googled and searched forums and so far...zilch.

There is no way to be 100% sure. Manufacturers often claim compatibility
and then you find out the drivers do not enable features you bought the card
to get. And though rarer, hardware issues between a sound cards and other
important hardware is a possibility. See your local dealer and get them to
allow
you a test/trial of any sound card you purchase.

Very few exist that have all those requirements, if any at all. Additionally a boatload of inventory still resides everywhere for the same name and model product.
