1000's of error entries in application log

Hi,

In the event viewer I'm seeing thousands of error entries under the
Applicaion log. For instance...

The entry
<C:\USERS\BOB\DOCUMENTS\NETBEANSPROJECTS\GOODTREE\ BUILD\CLASSES\GOODTREE\LAZYLOADINGTREEMODEL$TREEWI LLEXPANDHANDLER.CLASS>
in the hash map cannot be updated.

Context: Application, SystemIndex Catalog

Details:
A device attached to the system is not functioning. (0x8007001f)


I'm also seeing a few related warnings (Event Id 1015) saying something
like...
"Event ID 3013 for the Windows Search Service has been suppressed 4339
time(s) since 8:48:43 PM. "

Strangely, all of the errors reference files created by Java applications,
such as Netbeans or Eclipse IDEs.

Any ideas what might be causing this?
