15 PCs which Windows Updates to Install

A company has asked me to update their Windows XP sp2 PCs in terms of
security patches, recommended updates, etc. According to the owner,
their
prior update was about 10 months ago.
Based upon Windows Update, I have started to compile a list and some
workstations are missing as many as 65 updates. There is a lot of
overlap
but so far I think my list has about 80 entries.

My question is whether there is a WEB site where I can check which
updates are actually necessary, safe, interact well with each other,
the
sequence of installation, etc?

I realize that I can search for a specific update's KB number and read
comments. However, there are 80 so far. In addition, my search probably

will not indicate the sequence of the updates and whether certain
updates
interact well with others.

Thank you in advance.

In addition - why can you not use http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ on
each of them?
Or maybe one and get a list of just what you need from that one?

If they all have access to the internet - suggest Automatic Updates turned
on to Download but not install (prompt) and get them to start doing it too.

So, in your opinion, I am safe with this list.
That is good to know.
Thank you.

1. Enable Automatic Updates on each machine.

2. Play online games (on /your/ PC) for 2 weeks.

3. Collect your fee (less my 10%).

I did on half of the PCs and that is how I determined that each has
about 60-65 updates required and a total of about 80 unique.
Their connection is ISDN (64k) and very slow.
The reason that I am somewhat paranoid about it is that I am thinking
about several months ago to an update that caused major headaches with
many users address book (was it Outlook or Express?).

When offered by AU, IE7 does NOT automatically install. See

At this point I am more worried about deciding which updates I should
or should not install as compared to the 'how' of downloading them.
Would the WSUS server assist me in this regard?
