*23* updates? Man, were you ever behind! Get that Automatic Update thingy
configured properly, Bryan!
The IE patch is quite large (~3.6MB) and is one that *everybody* needed, so
it's not unusual that the download was slow-verging-on-stop.
Know, too, that all of the download-for-manual-install versions of the IE
patch were buggy, were eventually pulled and not made available again till
late today (Wed., 9 Aug-05). So all of these users turned to Windows Update
for it along with zillions of others.
