Hi everybody

I am new here. I am a simple Vista user who is having 2 differen
problems one in my laptop and one on my desktop

Desktop ( acer AL1916W) We recently updated 2*2 GB memory and eve
since we constantly get the memory crash blue screen everytime we star
the computer up. After it restarts it goes prefectly ok and we dont hav
this error untill the next time we start up. Blue screen mention
something about disabling memory shadowin in th BIOS but I cannot se
any memory option in the BIOS

Laptop (Acer Aspire 5520) Last week it has been attemping som
updates and for some reason one o more of them didnt work so it trie
and tried everytime it was started up until yesterday. Again it shu
down to configurate updates and... it never started up again. I hav
tried al the repair sistem, recovery options save mode... nothing works
Startup repair cannot fix the porblem. I have the whole sequence of dat
reported in the error detail( Startuprepairv2, autofailover...etc i
needed

My question is, is there any guide I can follow to fix both problems
and particulary about the laptop is there a way I can access the vist
files in the hidden partition so that vista error can be repair and I d
not loose all the info

Many thanks in advance

http://www.knoppix.net/

RE Laptop: above is a link to download Knoppix Live CD ISO file for you to
make a bootable CD from to recover your Data.
It does not install on your Hard Drive; it uses your RAM and Graphics.
You can copy your Data to a flash Drive, using it to find your files..

If you use an F Key opton at BIOS screen at startup to Recover, it takes it
back to factory standards, whererby you lose ALL data and Programs that you
have installed.
Save your DATA using Knoppix, THEN do a Recovery via that way.!
