Hi

I have SBS 2008 with 2 nics. When I configure it for Teaming that 2 nic will
shown as one, the internet configuration failed, it cannot see the ip of the
nic and the ip of the router. If I configure it as one nic its ok.

The server is HP Proliant ML350 G6.

Any idea?

Than'x
Shay

Hi Shay:

You will have to drop off the second nic to run the wizards. Drop off as
in disable. Once the wizards have been run, you can re team, but I am not
sure what benefit, if any, there is in a SBS environment, from this.

As Larry says, you need to disable the second NIC before running any SBS
Wizards. NIC teaming is not supported, and doesn't behave well with the
wizards, IME. You can re-enable the second NIC and teaming after the wizard
has run, but again, I'm not at all sure what benefit you'll gain from it.
There are good reasons for a second NIC in SBS 2008, and I wish it handled
it better, but it is what it is and the only solution is to disable that
second NIC when you need to run a wizard. And there are some things that
_only_ the SBS wizards will resolve.
