How 2 reinstall windows media player???

wmp 11 on my vista is giving problems. it does not play any mp3s and makes a
strange noise when an attempt to play is made. it works fine on my brother's
user account. i would like to reinstall it. can someone tell me how?

you cannot reinstall that seperately since it is embeded in the OS,
you could do a repair install but thats too much...

I would sugest you do 2 things.

1) If it worked a few days ago but does not now, do a system restore.

2) go to the media player newsgroup and ask for help there since
they know more specific answers to your problem.
