I went to shut down my computer this morning because it said it had two
updates to install. Now it fails to start. I have chosen every option from
safe mode, to regular, nothing is working. HELP!
anyway to get to a C prompt or anything? I'll just go back to XP

because I downloaded Vista with digital locker I do not have Vista on any CD

Same story here. I returned to a previous restore point using the
Installation CD, but the computer becomes unworkable every time the
auto-update runs. It would be easy to remedy if I know which update was
causing the crash. I would simply disable it, but other than spending the day
running one update at a time and then rebooting until the crash occurs, I
don't know what else to do. This sucks, M$.

Is PowerPoint viewer 2003 (KB949041) among the updates? It hasn't caused my
computer to crash, but I can't get it to install no matter what I try.

READ THIS PART!! BASE IT OFF OF WINDOWS 98 SE AGAIN, SO CAN BE STABLE LIKE XP WAS), so can get rid of vista at this point. ok, rant is done, but any help would be greatly appreciative, as any pc problems i have to fix, and the pc not workin right is causing undue stress on me, as 2 college students now live at my residence.

use this link to download a newer version of powerpoint viewer. will
upgrade it from 2003 to 2007 version and no more update (talked to a couple
friends who are IT people for cisco) this link does work...put the new
version on 2 days ago, and no more update
