2 updates installed, but keeps prompting to install-Vista SP1

I have my WU set to download & to notify before any installs. When I got
notified, of several Important & Recommended updates, I installed, as usual.
However, there's 2 Important updates (for Office 2007/which I don't
have-KB934391 & KB934395) that won't install. I don't get any
errors/messages, but after having "installed", 5 times, I reviewed the update
history & found they had "installed", 5 times. If so, why do only these 2
keep prompting to be installed? I'm the only user, of this system & I try to
be pretty routine w/scanning & removing any potential unwanteds. Please
advise, as this is becoming really annoying.
Thx.

Assuming the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint 2007 File Formats is installed (and chances are it is), you need
both updates.

How to troubleshoot failures updating your Office installation from the
Office Update Web site:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304498

TIP: See if you can download/install each update manually from the Download
Center.

I appreciate your suggestion, but I just don't get it...Going to the link you
provided is for Office products. Why does Vista's SP1-WU even notify about
updates, for programs/products that I don't even have? Then, they're
"important" ones that continue to prompt for you to install, but apparently
aren't installed, even though the updates installed history shows they've
been, 5 times. I hope I'm making my concern clear...all I know is that all
past updates have gone smoothly, until these 2. I want to keep my system
updated, but w/this happening, I don't know how.

Do you not have *any* Microsoft Office product installed?

Did you have one installed in the past?

Did one ship with your computer?

Harry.

Yes, Microsoft Office 60 day trial was installed w/new computer. However, I
never tried it & won't. Which, again, brings me back to my original concern.
My apologies, if I'm coming across as "thick-headed". I'm really trying to
understand, all of this.

Windows Update will patch it regardless. Try uninstalling it.

Harry.

To keep track of things, it helps immensely if you include all of previous
message(s) in your replies to the newsgroup. Thank you.

As Harry said, uninstall the free trial version of MS Office 2007. It IS
installed, even if you've never used it.

OK, now what? I went to CP programs, uninstalled Office trial, but it's
still prompting for those 2 Office 2007 updates. Since, yesterday, there was
another update that installed fine. So, why won't those 2?

[X-post to Office Update newsgroup]

Do you have any version of Office installed now?

Is Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack or any other Office application
(e.g., PowerPoint Viewer; Word Viewer; Excel Viewer) listed in Add/Remove
Programs?

The only thing that showed under the Start/Programs, but not under Add/Remove
Programs was the PP Viewer. I opened WinXplorer & deleted ALL Office
folders/programs that I found, restarted PC, but WU continues to prompt for
just those 2 updates. Is there any way to know if they're really all gone?
That said, I still haven't gotten any explanation as to why it's happened
w/ONLY these 2, in the 1st place? I'd never had any reason to really be
concerned about previous Office updates, because they installed w/no
problems, until now.
