Hello everybody,

Is there any option to install and use 2 versions of Messenger at 1 pc??
(For example WLM 9 Beta and WLM 8.5) But without using Virtual PC or any 3rd
party software...

Thanks

Greetings,

You can actually -- although for versions later than 2009 beta, this might get a bit
problematic due to shared components (like the contacts executable).

But for 8.5/2009 combination you should be okay. First, uninstall 2009 if it's installed.
Then install 8.5 and once that's complete, copy the \Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger
folder to the desktop. Then go ahead and install 2009 again. Now, the normal Program Files,
Messenger shortcut will start 2009 and the msnmsgr.exe file contained in the folder you
copied on the desktop will start 8.5.
