2003 SP1 Installation Problems - HELP!!!

Hi,

I've been trying to install SP1 on a client's SBS 2003 box (Dell Poweredge
700) and I'm having problems.
The 1st time i ran the installer, it failed because of the GPMC MSI remaning
issue, so i fixed that and ran it again and everything seemed to be OK, but
after reboot i got a message telling me Windows had just recovered from a
serious error!
I also found that the System log was corrupt (couldn't open it in event
viewer).

I've tried to repair the corrupt system log by disabling the Event log
service and deleting the file, but it just gets corrupted again at every
reboot. I also get the 'serious error' message after every reboot!
I've looked at the setup logs, but most of the errors in thme don't make
much sense to me i'm afriad! The 1 error that does complains about not being
able to update Outlook, but the default Outlook install in ClientApps is Ok
and unchanged?

Help! - i really need to fix this, fast! if anyone has any idea how to fix
this i'd really appriciate any help you can give!
