Same here.

Because Windows Vista came out in 2006, not this year. Though the retail
version that includes media center only became available Jan, 30 this year.

And to be frank, Vista's not exactly innovative, it's a 6th generation
consumer release of Windows. Windows was innovative - a new concept - with
Windows 3.x or 95, but now it's merely an updated product with additional
features and functionality.

Consumer Operating systems in general have plateaued, I don't think there is
much left in challenges right now except for areas like Speech,
Handwriting/Touch and parallel programming.

reminds me of a time when they said the car would never replace the horse
or that there is nothing else to discover in science (1800's)

I have to inform you that there are infinite possibilities and potential..

your attachment to vista has deleted what little imagination you might have
had

When we say that vista is just XP with a new skin and a bunch of bugs thrown
in, and an interface stirred up and jumbled so horribly together its
amazing, you
say Vista has new technologies, vista is a new OS! lol

By the way Vista made it in the list of top 10 worse products of 2007, but
it didnt make it in the best products of 2007.. I WONDER WHY????

LOL

Typical of a vista fan boy....dont mind taking the time to answer I already
know what you are going to say... and its gonna be boring! LOL

Not really. Saying that it has 'plateaued' (which is fairly accurate)
simply means there don't seem to be many real advances coming right now -
it says nothing of the future. Check Webster for meaning of 'plateau'.

I know the word, it has a Greek origin "platos, platia"
So dont try to be a smarty pants with me buster...

Im trying to tell him that monopolies dont want advancement.. or they are
very slow to make changes

If you had 10 companies making good OS's then MS would have
made vista into an OS that actually works and not the crap that it is..

MS was able to stomp out the competition and dominate the market.

however I believe that there are new stuff that will change everything..

they are being worked on as we speak and millions are being invested in web
based desktops
