Just for a bit of fun,

If you wanted to give 3 reasons to an END USER why to go to SBS2008,
what would you say?

RWW, and the terminal services gateway functionality that allows direct
connection from a home machine running an RDP client to a work desktop,
without the need to make a VPN connection.

The added redundancy of the various snapshot backups of the data on the
server, as well as the ease of recovering individual files from the backup.

Exchange 2007, in general--easier to use for room and resource scheduling,
for example.

1. For safekeeping, your Itunes can be backed up nightly on the server.
2. With RWW we can make it look to your boss like you're at the office all
weekend.
3. With a Sharepoint company vacation calendar, you'll be able to know when
your boss is out of town so you can install that killer game that just won't
function quite properly on your 8-year-old home computer.

*To* SBS2008, *from* where?

There are different considerations depending on whether the user
currently has SBS2003 (or earlier) or a workgroup, and in the latter
case, whether it's a choice between SBS2008 and an alternative server
product or SBS2008 and staying with the workgroup.

The features don't change, the benefits do. You don't mention RWW to
someone who has SBS2003, but you do mention end-of-life.

IMO end users don't care about the back end stuff at all, other than the
little bit they see for themselves (RWW improvements, for example). They
care about functions like reliability, up time, backup, etc. but only when
they don't have them - server down, data lost with no way to recover it.

Business owners and decision makers should care about the better backup and
security in SBS 2008, and maybe some of the simplified management stuff if
they're involved in that at all, but if you want to make end users happy,
buy them RAM, a new monitor, or a whole new PC.
