3 Updates that keep loading

Hi. Here's my issue.

Actually, it's a friend's PC. He has Windows XP SP2, and all updates are
applied. However, there are 3 updates in particular that don't seem to apply:
KB931784, KB920872, & KB900486. What happens is, when the PC looks for new
urgent updates from Microsoft, these 3 appeared. I applied them and they
seemed to work. I got the usual "Updates Installed Successfully" messages,
but it keeps showing them subsequently as still waiting to be installed.

Please check these KB numbers - I cannot find 900486, and I'm unsure about
920872.

The fix for 931784, and possibly the others, is to download the patch
manually from the appropriate KB page into a known folder, then open a
command prompt window and navigate to that folder by use of the "cd"
command. Then execute the update manually with the added parameter /o

For instance, for 931784 you would type:

WindowsXP-KB931784-x86-ENU /o

I meant KB900485 (not 6....sorry). But KB920872 is correct. I will try your
suggestion when I can get back to my friend's PC and let you know. Thank you.
