32 bit or 64 bit version

I received an automatic error message that suggested an update fix. There
are two versions for the 32 bit or 64 bit. I have a very new laptop and do
not know how to check which vista version I have...

If you have to ask - even now - you are 99% sure to have 32bit.

Right click Computer and click Properties.
Do you see "System Type"?

Most likely 32 bit if you do not know.
