4 failed updates - Vista

I need help. Each time I go online, doesn't matter which site it is, my
internet restarts by itself when a new window opens. I tried to download
windows update (not sure if it would help), but I have four programs that
were unsuccessfully installed. (again, a new window opens for downloading,
and then restarts saying its not responding) The updates are listed below.
Can someone please help me with this?

If you receive Windows Update error 80246005 while checking for updates, it usually means
either that you cannot save files to the Catroot2 folder or that the Cryptographic Service
was not started or is not working properly.

It was a bit worrying as I am not a Techy person and I was worried of making
things worse, but it was great.
