1) The GROUP of the following 4 updates causes me to have to go back to my
XP Pro SP2 CD and take 1/2 hr, doing a "Repair Install" to the system. I
checked out the error (flashes on the blue screen momentarily - so I got
most of it with my video camera) and it read: Stop C0000219 [Fatal syntax
error] The windows logon process terminated unexpectedly/....

at 0x00000080 (0x00000000 - 0x00000000).

(Sorry if that is not perfect. That is what I scrawled down at the time.)

I have already tried the deleting "Kernal32.dll" route (per MS' knowledge
base) and it does not work. Only the Repair Install works, and then I have
to reinstall all these other patches too.

KB893086 4/12/05
KB893066 4/12/05
KB890859 4/12/05
KB885835 4/12/05

I have isolated it down to this group but have not tried to isolate it
further... am hoping that someone has some experience with these.

2) KB885250 4/26/05 am not sure if it is a problem. I wanted to install it
in cronological order.

3) KB890923 Cumulative IE updates for Win XP SP2 : causes IE and Windows
explorer to not come up... repeatedly gets "Send error report". Tried going
back to a restore point just before the problem but this does NOT fix it. I
end up having to manually kick off "Add/Remove" and deinstall the patch.

My system is clean of viruses and adware.

System Config:
ASUS A7V333
AMD Athlon XP 2100+
512 MB DDR (PC 3200)
MS Win XP Pro v.2002, SP 2 v2055
IE 6.0.2900.2055 (128 bit) SP2
3Com Etherlink 10/100 PCI TX NIC (3C905B-TX)
Video Nvidia GeForce 4 MX440, Screen 1024x768, Highest (32 bit) color
ZoneAlarm Pro
NAV (Corp. Ed)
Executive SW Diskeeper 9 Pro

TIA

By the way... after reading other posts on the group I did try installing
all of the
remaining but KB893066, KB885250, and KB890923. No joy.

Am using a different computer while I do yet another "Repair Install" (it
don't come up in Safe or any other mode.

Any assistance is appreciated.
Regards,
KWW
