I signed up to a site. Logged in, did some browsing. Closed IE. went
back a few hours later and was IE thinks I am banned. I get 403 error.

I've been in contactwith the admins and they insist my account nor my
IP is banned.

So i've done a few things sfc /scannow (tests integrity of IE files)
cleared all temp files, cookies, everything.

My login info is correct.

I try Firefox and bam it lets me in with no problems.

so IE thinks i am banned firefox is fine.

Any ideas?

Try clearing the IE7 cache, cookies, history, etc, and see if that
helps:

- Click "Tools"
- Click "Internet Options"
- In the "General" page, click "Delete" near the middle of the page.
- Click the appropriate button to delete that category, or better
yet, click "Delete All". If you choose "Delete All", then you should
also delete the files and settings that are used by add-ons.
- Click OKTry accessing that site again that is generally giving you the "403 -
Forbidden" error. If it still does not work, try this:

- Click "Tools"
- Click "Internet Options"
- Click the tab for the "Advanced" settings.
- Click "Reset"
- Click "Reset" again after reading the message, and you are sure
this is what you want to do.
- Click "Close"
- Click "OK"
- Close all running instances of Internet Explorer 7
- Open IE7 again, and try to access the siteIf either method above does not work, then there only remains two
possibilities that I can think of:

- You are not using the correct login details for that site
- There is some form of Internet Explorer 7 compatibility issue on
the site itself. You can double-check this by using IE7 to login to
another site for which you have login credentials. My guess is that it
will work.

went south thanks to mother nature and a lightning bolt to the mains
supply that my UPS could not stop. Now I'm just waiting for the
insurance payout, so I can build a new machine.-'
