5 node cluster w2k3 enterprise R2

I noticed our cluster has a group whcih contains the "quorum resource" along
with other resources such as disk, cluster network name and IP Address.

I do also see MSDTC as a resource and it has network name and disk as
dependencies>

1 question: Does the quorum require MSDTC?
2 question: the MSDTC service keeps failing - i get the following message
in all nodes

The Distributed Transaction Coordinator service terminated unexpectedly. It
has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in
60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

Any ideas or known issues with this?

No, quorum does not require MSDTC but other applications within your cluster
might.

The error you've given is not enough to determine why it is failing.
