5600 > 5728: $WINDOWS.~Q, $INPLACE.~TR

Having done an upgrade install from build 5600 to build 5728, I ended up
with two hidden folders of considerable size on my C: drive: $WINDOWS.~Q,
$INPLACE.~TR. - I assume it is save to remove them?

I did. Put them in the RECYCLE BIN for a while if you wish, then delete
when you are satisfied that all is well.

There's none on my computer with those names. However I used Disk Cleanup to
remove the old saved Windows files after I finished installing 5728.

Actually, doing a Disk Cleanup was a good idea. Not only did it wipe off
those folders but a lot of other garbage could be removed.
