Here is what worked for me:
1. Uninstall Office 2003 from the Add Remove Programs
2. Remove the Microsoft Office folder in Windows Explorer.
3. Remove any references to Microsoft Office from the registry - I basically just ran regedit and then opened up the main folders, scrolled to software, Microsoft, rt. click Office and select delete.
4. Reboot and reinstall Office doing CUSTOM installation of ONLY Word and Excel. Ths is enough for Windows Update to recognize that you have Office and will deliver all those updates. So go to the Windows Update and allow the updates to install. Then reboot and go back to your Office 2003 installation disc and install the other components of Office.

After installing Visual Web developer 2005 express, Visual C# Express, .NET
Framework 2.0, SQL Server EXpress and XML Notepad 2007, I suddenly got all
the below updates for Office. I have automatic updates turned on. The updates
to Visual Studio Express works fine, but the below fails.
I found the article 903772, and tried all 3 methods - without success.
After reinstalling Office 2003, i tried to uninstall all of the above
mentioned software - still without success. Then I reinstalled the above
again - but this time .NET framework 3.0.
And still no success. Then I tried to download all of them as full package
installers - and then I got the Office 2003 SP2 working.
I run Windows XP Pro (english version), and a Office 2003 Danish version.
Please anubody - any ideas of what to do?
