7.0.6000.381 install failed

Appears WU update failed on my machine because auto updates since then won't
work. If I try to install from Control Panel I get the message that WU must
be updated but that update fails. The log seems to indicate that 7.0.6000.381
was successfully installed so it doesn't install it again.

However, when I check the versions of the files listed below they not only
aren't 7.0.6000.381, they aren't even 7.0.6000.374. They are 6.0.6000.16386
and I don't have a clue what to do next. I did submit a help request in late
August and received an email stating a professional would be in touch within
24 hours and heard nothing more.

Keep us posted if you do get any feedback on your ticket. You may also want
