7.0 - turning off Search bar?

In MSN Mgr 7.0, is there a way to turn off the search bar? I want to make
the Messenger as small as possible while still showing the maximum number of
online people that I have. If I can take away the search bar, that would be
great!

Yahoo Messenger allows me to remove the search bar.

At the moment, you can't remove it without using some third-party patches (see www.mess.be if
you're looking for them).
