7.5 wont signon *at all*

Hi,

For hours now I have not been able to signon to MSN using 7.5, on my laptop
or desktop. There is no error message, it just attempts to connect for
about 2 seconds then just goes back to the signon button.

I have been able to use web messenger ok, and I have logged on using a
different pc on a different adsl line.

I have only once had a connection in this time until I had to reboot, and
then nothing again.

I have tried repairing and reinstalling MSN, tried sfc /scannow, tried
repairing the registry with a reliable program, tried repairing errors with
Norton Windoctor, checked my firewall, scanned for spyware, scanned for
viruses, and almost given up to the point of a WinXP reinstall.

Please advise.

the same problem has been happening to me for the last couple days... but 7.0
works just fine * does anyone know how to fix this? *
