8 updates fail to install

XP 2002, SP2
Athlon 64, 3200, 2Gb,

I have 6 updates that won't install. I've tried re-installing Windows
re-installer, but still won't work. I don't have Outlook installed. Below
are the updates that fail to install. Any solutions, please.

Update for Outlook 2003 (KB913807)
Security Update for Office 2003 (KB914455)
Update for InfoPath 2003 (KB920103)
Update for Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB920907)
Security Update for Office 2003 (KB921566)
Security Update for Excel 2003 (KB918419)
Security Update for PowerPoint 2003 (KB916518)
Security Update for Word 2003 (KB917334)

Same here: 3 Office 2003 updates download fine but never install, even after
installing during reboot. I'm so sick of it all.

I've downloaded these:

Update for Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB920907)
Security Update for Office 2003 (KB921566)

And they do not install.

I was having a prob with those same 3 updates. In my logs it said I was
missing a cab. I copied the cab to my MSOCache folder. When i ran the update
again, that cab file disappeared. I put the MSOCache in the recycle bin and
put my office cd in the drive and re-ran the updates. It installed. hope this
helps you guys.

I de-installed/re-installed Office 2003 and was able to install all the
unloadable updates.

I had to uninstall and re-install as well. Then the updates took.

I had a similar problem and traced the problem to a Windows XP reassignment
of disk drive letters. This occurred because I plugged a flash drive into
the front of my computer. It had previously been plugged into the back of my
computer. I had to remove the flash drive and restore drive letter
assignments to their former state. Apparently Office Update tried to use the
flash drive as a temporary storage space, which was not as large as the hard
disk originally associated with the drive letter. I tried to run Repair from
the original Office CD, which also failed for the same reason. The problem
seems to be associated with Office Update software. Other Windows XP security
updates worked fine before and after the drive letter reassignment.
