You could always try another messaging client that is compatible with your
WLM account. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari...saging_clients. In my
book, the less MS software you use, the better (most of my family's machines
run Ubuntu Linux, or are Macs).

I would be looking for an alternative client for my only Windows machine
(Vista) to solve the same problem if I hadn't found a quick fix for it - I
just right click on WLM in the system tray and exit then restart it (desktop
icon or recently-launched programs under Start). I don't use WLM much at the
moment so that suffices. Hope it works for you (if you can't see the icon in
the system tray you could start Task Manager and kill the process msnmgr.exe).

Hey Peter, thanks for saying what i was thinking... haha. I have the same
problem as the OP, and am searching for a solution. Its ALWAYS annoying when
you get a non-answer. So has anyone solved this? I found some temporary
fixes, but seem to always come back to the same problem after awhile. The
re-install worked temporarily (worked the longest of all fixes). Deleting
history, cookies and temp internet files worked for a couple days. There were
a couple other dead ends on various forums. I dont think waiting around for
MS to release a fix is a viable solution either. Help
