80072f8f errors - client fails to contact server

I have been having problems with the above. As I have just moved to SCE, I
placed the original question on the sce forum, see link, but was advised to
post here.

In a nutshell, this one particular server is failing to make updates, each
time with multiple errors as above. Additionally, I get multiple entries in
the log file (are they related?) of source crypt32, event id 8, description:

Failed auto update retrieval of third-party root list sequence number from:
<http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootseq.txt> with error: This network connection does not exist.

Any help most apreciated.
