After getting 8007F0CC, I disabled my StyleXP boot screen and SP2 loaded just
fine.

Hi EdMaxx,

I have this on my computer too, and recently have been trying to uninstall
it (Style XP) I can't seem to figure it out. Any suggestions?

Check/edit you c:\boot.ini file:

Ah, thank you thank you thank you! I got rid of the dreaded Style Xp that I
couldn't seem to uninstall and now I can install the Windows Update file.
Much thanks.. and I did it all when hubby computer nerd couldn't...
