8024002D CODE

i have a problem with 8024002D code and i don't why

Okay, another guess, we are updating Office and we have the error message 0x8024002D -

Error Code: 0x8024002D
means - a full-file patch failed because the source was required

If you were downloading a patch, repair Office install and try the patch again or try
installing the patch with the Office CD in the installation drive.

If I have failed the guess correctly, Contini, perhaps you could provide a little bit more
information. Unfortunately posting that give very little detail are often ignored.

me for a Installation CD that I don't have. it says insert the Microsoft Word
2002 disk. When I press cancel it says update installation failed, error
code 8024002D. I went to the Microsoft website but they don't have any info
on this particular error code. I'm not about to pay microsoft any money for
some support, so do any guys know how i can solve this problem.

Doesn't make sense that you are trying to install WinXP SP3 and it's asking for the Office
2002 Word disk?

Please clarify what it is that you are actually installing, is it a service pack for
Office or a service pack for Windows XP?

im having the same issue as this person ...they ask me for office cd 2002
.....i dont even know where the cd is ...please help me

Angela, your options are to download the full file updates and it may or may
not work or in the alternative, locate the Office 2002 CD.

If it wasn't an OEM disk and you have a valid licence -

I have been getting this error for some time now as well and couldn't find
any answers online. My Laptop came with a Microsoft Works Suite 2006 and it
has Microsoft Word 2002 listed as one of the programs so I put that disc in
and it completed the update.
